American Neuropsychiatrist, 2000 Nobel prize on the Psychologycal Basis of Memory Storage in Neurons
In his book „The Age of Insight“ the quest to understand the unconscious in art, mind, and brain from Vienna 1900 to the present, New York 2012, Eric Kandel develops a fascinating picture of the cooperation of psychoanalysis, neuroscience , medicine, literature and the arts.
Watermill is a laboratory for performance founded by Robert Wilson as a unique environment for young and emerging artists from around the world to explore new ideas.
The model Watermill Center is based on a cooperation between Robert Wilson and 100-150 mostly young artists, working on the basis of a scholarship during 4 weeks in summer, creating new ideas and designs for specific projects of Robert Wilson.
Projects of different arts like theatre, opera, architecture and landscape architecture are developed side by side.

In your works dating to the period of the apartheid in South Africa, you very often have described these situations in a very moving and politically intense way. If I try to find description of today’s situation in South Africa in your work I have difficulties to identify these. How can we understand your more recent work from this point of view?
